8 February. ICCROM is pleased to announce the adhesion of Afghanistan as a new Member State as of 7 February 2010. The adhesion of Afghanistan brings the number of ICCROM Member States to 129. |

Helping Heritage in Haiti

Floods in Peru

Emirates as a new Member State as of 22 January 2010. The adhesion of the
UAE brings the number of ICCROM Member States to 128. |

Earthquake in Haiti
13 January. In the aftermath of the strong earthquake that struck Haiti
late afternoon yesterday, the Director-General and Staff of ICCROM extend their deepest condolences to the government and people of this country who
have been disastrously affected by the loss of lives and the destruction
of property. ICCROM is ready to offer assistance to our Haitian colleagues
and those institutions responsible for protecting the cultural heritage
within the affected areas.
