The ICCROM Library Catalogue is a multilingual on-line bibliographic resource for literature related to the conservation, preservation and restoration of cultural property. Catalogued items include books, journal articles, technical reports, theses, conference proceedings, unpublished and audio-visual material.
At present the ICCROM Library Catalogue provides access to more than 86,000 citations. Most of the data is recorded in English. Titles are given in the original language. Subject keywords are in French and English, and abstracts, when available are in English.
Features
The database interface is in both French and English. The Menu on the left of the screen shows the options available. These include: links to both search modes, Simple and Advanced, New Acquisitions, a Help file and a Subject Keyword list in both French and English. The Help and Keyword lists can be viewed, downloaded and printed if desired.
Bibliographic Search
The database can be searched in simple or advanced mode. Simple search is a free text search which can access records quickly and easily. Advanced search is used to give more focus to a query. For further information on searching the ICCROM Catalogue see Search Tips on the relevant search page or consult the Help file.
New Acquisitions are listed by broad subject, and can be accessed by selecting the New Acquisitions button. New Acquisitions are updated every 4 months.
The results of a search can be sorted (by title, author or chronologically), viewed by clicking on the title, downloaded and printed in abbreviated or full format.
